Rape Victim Told to "Quit Crying" by 911 Dispatcher (Listen)

A 20-year-old girl was staying at a friend's house in Ohio when she was awoken by a man holding her up at gun point, who forced her to perform sex acts on him. He also stole money and an iPhone before taking off into the night.

The victim called 911 at around 4:00 a.m. to report the horrific crime and when she did, the dispatcher just made a bad situation worse.

"Ma'am, you're going to have to quit crying so I can get the information from you," the dispatcher, who seemed to have zero sympathy for what the victim had just endured, told her. Hopefully that woman NEVER endures what this poor girl had to go through, but it is pretty safe to assume she'd be crying, too.

But wait, it gets worse. As the girl is scrambling to come up with any information she can about where the guy came in, what he looked like and all of the things she couldn't possibly know because he snuck in while it was dark and oh yeah, she was sleeping, the dispatcher showed that she was completely devoid of any sort of human emotion whatsoever.

"Well, they're not going to be able to find him with the information that you've given," she concluded. Yeah, well, in addition to being the least empathetic person on the face of the planet, you're also wrong, lady.

They DID find the suspect and he's in custody, which is really the only silver lining to this terrible story. As for the dispatcher, she will not be fired or receiving any disciplinary action because the suspect was arrested. Regardless, we pity anybody who gets this lady on the line.
