Since they tend to be followed by the paparazzi, the duo decided to use the shutterbugs to promote their charities, hiding their faces with notecards that listed a few organizations they hoped would get more exposure.
"Good morning! We were eating and saw a group of guys with cameras outside. And so we thought, let's try this again. We don't need the attention, but these wonderful organizations do ---," Emma's sign read.
"www.youthmentoring.org, www.autismspeaks.org, (and don't forget) www.wwo.org, www.gildasclubnyc.org. Here's to the stuff that matters. Have a great day!" Andrew's sign continued.
The links the couple provided were to the Youth Mentoring Connection, a nonprofit that pairs young people with mentors in the workplace and community; Autism Speaks, an organization that raises money for autism research and increases awareness about the developmental disorder; Worldwide Orphans, which addresses the needs of orphans around the world; and Gilda's Club, which offers free support to people living with cancer in NYC.
This is the second time the Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars have pulled the stunt. They did the same thing back in September 2012 when they realized they were being photographed as they grabbed lunch in NYC.
We have to give it to these two for being clever.
