Demi Lovato not only flipped off the paparazzi yesterday, she also took to Twitter to explain her position. And, we hear ya, Demi. Some of these photographers are so rude, they deserve more than just a middle finger.
When Demi arrived at the Logo TV's Trailblazers pride event in NYC last night, one of the photographers could be heard shouting, "Keep your nose clean, Demi" - throwing shade at Demi's previous drug addiction. Not cool. She fired back by flipping them off, but it's her tweets that really tell the story.
Demi later tweeted: "When are paparazzi gonna learn? If you're respectful to me, I'll be respectful back. Why does it have to be a war of celebs against paps?"
She added, "Of course if you yell horrible things, I'm not gonna work with you. I'll pose if you are respectful and not being bullies."
And really, it's the fans who missed out, as Demi explained: "I wanted to stop for my fans today/tonight really bad because I love you so much but I can't deal with how mean those paps are... I always try to stop because I appreciate every single one of you, so if I don't get to you please know I'm sorry and I love you"
Her final words are food for thought: "Sometimes staying strong means not putting yourself in uncomfortable or triggering situations."
