Shailene Woodley says everyone should leave Miley alone.
The Divergent actress jumped to Miley Cyrus' defense in her new Vanity Fair story, saying the "We Can't Stop" singer is just being Miley. "Miley isn't rude or mean or cruel to anyone in her actions," Shai explains. "She just does herself. She's not in the world doing mean things."
Hmm, we'd argue that gyrating on a married man at the VMAs and singing her song "FU" while holding a cutout of Selena Gomez could be considered rude, but we'll let Shailene continue. "Why are all these parents or all these people freaking out about Miley being herself? If you don't want your kids to watch it, you know, you can change the situation at home, but don't make a big deal of what she's doing. Make a big deal about bullies at school who are beating kids up," the 22-year-old says.
While we're definitely not condoning all of Miley's over the top antics, we think Shailene makes a pretty good point. There's more to life than focusing on Miley's Twerking, right?
