Bryan Greenberg Talks New Album and Wedding Plans With Jamie Chung
Bryan Greenberg and Jamie Chung got engaged last December after dating since 2012. We recently chatted with Bryan about his new film, A Short History of Decay, but also got the lowdown about the latest movie he shot, which happens to co-star his fiance.
"We just wrapped [It's Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong] last week. It was fun, who knows how it'll turn out," Bryan told us. "That movie is like a love letter to Hong Kong." The engaged couple got approached to be a part of the project together. "I've worked with the writer, director and producer [Emily Ting] on two other films, and she just said 'Hey, do you guys want to do this?' We worked on the script with her for a couple months and we got it to a place we felt comfortable with. We took two and a half weeks to shoot."
Sometimes working with your loved ones can be more difficult than one would expect, but "It was really cool to work with Jamie," the 36-year-old actor said. "It's easy."
Planning their big day, however, sounds far from it. "Oh man, we've been putting it all off on the back burner," Bryan laughed, "But I guess now we've got to figure out when we're going to do this. No plans yet."
In case you didn't know, Bryan is also a musician who has released two albums - Waiting for Now in 2007 and We Don't Have Forever in 2011. After a hiatus, it sounds like someone is making a comeback. "I got a whole new record coming! I have to figure out when and how I'm going to release it," he told us. That's two big projects on his plate! "I'm waiting to put some finishing touches on it and waiting for the right time. I haven't had time to present the music the way I want to represent it, but I've got a pretty good album and I'm excited for people to hear it. I think it's my best one yet. Hopefully this year I can do a proper release for it."
We're keeping our ears and eyes open for this one.
