And for good reason. It's not clear if they were really hungry or just had one too many, but they ended up stealing 60 hamburgers, three pounds of bacon, three red peppers and a paddleboard from Doc's Beach House, according to News-Press. And it gets better – they were caught in the buff on security cameras.
Surprisingly, the identities of the three daring dudes have not been locked down yet. Wednesday, authorities released photos (the tame ones that they could) to the public asking for help identifying them. These guys actually reportedly even looked right into the security cameras.
While there's been no sign of the missing burgers and bacon just yet, the guys did leave a trail of red peppers on the beach about 100 yards away from the restaurant near the beach bathhouse. "They left a trail like Hansel and Gretel," Doc's waitress Shelly Isom told the site with a laugh. "One of them probably said after, 'Uh, guys, where did we leave our clothes?'"
Doc's general manager/vice president Lou Bangert told the site that the men left a "mess of food" on the ground, adding, "When I saw the security footage, I said how is this guy not wearing any clothes?" Bangert said. "Then I said, 'Wait, it's not just one. There's three naked. That's what makes this funny."
As of Friday, the Bonita Beach hamburglars still hadn't been caught. Talk about naked ambition.
