The Twilight star was rather candid when he talked about her cheating on him a couple of years ago, telling Esquire UK, "Sh*t happens, you know? It's just young people...it's normal! And honestly, who gives a sh-t? The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can't predict."
"It's like that scene in Doubt, where [Philip Seymour Hoffman is] talking about how to take back gossip? They throw all those feathers from a pillow into the sky and you've got to go and collect all the feathers," he continued.
The couple called it quits for good last May, about a year after K.Stew was caught cheating on the Rover star with her then-married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Since then, R. Pattz hasn't gotten too serious with another ladylove just yet, but he has been spotted out and about with several ladies, including model Imogen Ker, who he reportedly took on a dinner date to The Little Door in Los Angeles in May.
Relationships aside, Rob also dished on his crazy run-ins with the paparazzi, saying, ""I used to dress up my assistant as me, and get him to drive off with like five cars following him around for hours. I think it goes through periods where you're assigned 'this is the guy to follow.' But whenever I see a bunch of paparazzi hanging out, I always think, 'Oh God, what have they found out!' Oh, THAT love child! I totally forgot!"
Those crazy run-ins led him to sell his mansion that he loved in Griffith Park for $6.37 million earlier this year, and he hasn't bought a new home yet. Instead, he's renting a house on Mulholland Drive, which he described as "weird and a bit cabin-fevery," until he finds another home that he wants to buy.
Rob covers Esquire UK's September issue, looking dapper in a sleek black suit and skinny black tie. The mag hits newsstands August 15.
