The rapper and comedian, whose real name is Tim Chantarangsu, surprised his mom and dad with a commitment he made to them since he first started pursuing a career in the entertainment industry – he paid their mortgage.
"My family and my parents are a big part of who I am and why I do what I do," he said in a YouTube video to his 2.5 million subscribers. "One of the main reasons why I go so hard at this entertainment grind and try to be successful is I'm trying to make it so they don't have to work so hard. Because they work so hard."
"Ever since I was a little kid, I made a promise to my dad and my mom," he continued. "I promise you, I'm gonna pay off the house, and finally, this is the day I got my funds right, and I'm gonna surprise them with the check."
Tim then headed to his mom and dad's house to give them a check for the remainder of their $340,000 mortgage as the duo chilled in their backyard. And they were so grateful when they opened the envelope and saw what was inside.
Tim's mom started crying and his dad – who managed to keep his emotions in – kept saying "thank you man." And it's clear to see where Tim gets his sense of humor. His dad went on to say, "I knew you could do it," laughed and added, "What about the grandchildren? A couple more years? Either grandchildren or a Mercedes.
After the comedian said, "Am I the best son ever?!," his dad got serious (kind of), saying, "With or without [the money], you're still the best son to me....but, can I get a little grandbaby?"
Aw, parents...got to love them.
