The pop star explained that by doing this, she hoped to inspire bravery and, we quote, to "BREED some M$therf*cking COMPASSION." In response to Gaga's revelation and call to action, fans began posting photos of their own bodies on her Little Monsters backplane.
Apparently, Gaga decided it was time to breathe new life into the #BodyRevolution campaign (maybe because tabloids have been extra aggressive in criticizing her body lately) and she posted a new photo of herself along with this amazingly inspiring message:
A true Venus is beautiful at any size. #BodyRevolution Don't allow Society to tell you what beauty is. back when they first made painting and sculptors of the goddess she was represented as a round and fertile woman. It was in style to be thicker because food was a sign of money. eat up children. Life is too short.
We couldn't have said it any better ourselves...and you know what, we're not even gonna try. We hope everyone takes a minute to read her message one more time so they can learn it, love it and LIVE it!
