The concept is simple, you get challenged by someone and you have 24 hours to either dump a bucket of ice water over your head OR you donate $100 to the cause. The good news is that a ton of people are dumping AND donating. In fact, the campaign has already raised over $10 million. So, we're lovin' everything about it.
When Charlie Sheen got challenged, however, he took things to the next level. Instead of dumping the freezing cold, icy water over his head, he dumped MONEY...and he's donating it all to the ALS Foundation.
How much money? $10,000! And he called out his Two and a Half Men co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer as well as producer Chuck Lorre. "Let's face it, ice is gonna melt, but this money is actually gonna help people," he said with the charity-bound cash surrounding him on the floor.
This is our favorite ice bucket challenge yet and if he can make the cash dump/donate the new celebrity trend, we'd love it even more! Winning!
UPDATE: Jon responded! Since he'd been challenged twice, he did one bucket for the first challenge and the money bucket for the second, saying that he will be donating $10,000 as well. Way to go, guys!
