Is French Montana Totally Misunderstood?

Pretty much the second that Khloe Kardashian started hanging out with French Montana, rumors began to swirl that he was using her for fame. Even Kim Kardashian and Bruce Jenner reportedly didn't trust his motives.

One of the rapper's recent interviews seemed to confirm everyone's worst fear, especially when he apparently told Billboard magazine that he wanted to "capitalize" on the attention he's been getting since dating the super famous reality star.

After that, Khloe took to Twitter to share this not-so-subtle message:

So...that's awkward, because they still seem to be together. What's even more awkward is that the quote that Khlo seemed to be responding to was all misunderstood, according to French. "I was so mad about that," he told Access Hollywood Live, saying the quote was taken out of context. "If I'm with somebody, I'm not with them for that reason."

We actually thought/hoped that might have been the case because capitalizing on a business opportunity once it presents itself doesn't mean it was pre-meditated and that he set out to use Khloe.

During the interview, French also revealed that he'd been shot in the head. Don't worry, not that day. It was back in 2003, but he said it really changed his life and made him really think hard about every move he makes.

After learning that and hearing his response to that whole capitalizing on Khloe quote, we're wondering if maybe French is just totally misunderstood. What do you guys think? Sound off in the comments below.
