The Pretty Little Liars stars are accepting the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge one by one.

Lucy Hale was one of the first of the group to kick it off, dumping a red bowl poured filled with ice water all over herself while wearing a graphic t-shirt in an Instavideo.

"Thank you @cmtcody @anniebreiter @gabby_mooney & @hollisterco for nominating me for the #ALSicebucketchallenge I nominate @adamjamespitts @kdeenihan @thescottycunha @joelcrouse @bretteldredge & my Momma!! Y'all have 24 hours. Dang that was cold.," she captioned the video.

Ashley Benson accepted the challenge Monday, posting an Instavideo of herself getting a huge bucket of ice water dumped on her on a studio lot, as people clapped in the background.

"Thanks @joshgad @bellathorne @vanessahudgens for nominating me," she captioned the video. "I nominate @shaym @emmaroberts @sweetbabyjamie ALS #icebucketchallenge."

Troian Bellisario was next, standing in a bucket in a black tank and denim cutoff shorts as her fiancé
Patrick Adams poured ice water all over her.

"Alright @jenniferbeals you asked for it! So I am donating cash & doing the #ALSIceBucketChallenge and to keep the ball rolling I challenge: @zacharyquinto @lucyhale @docdanger Also not to be annoying but as we are in a serious drought please share your ice bucket water with a friend and recycle it (like I did with @halfadams and you will see it's very satisfying," she captioned the Instavideo. "I think he got a little too much enjoyment out of this... But my revenge tasted so sweet)."

Meanwhile, Shay Mitchell challenged the Ice Bucket Challenge opting to urge people to donate instead of dumping ice water all over herself. "As much as I love the awareness and attention the #IceBucketChallenge is bringing to the ALS is important for us to realize why we are making the videos and try to contribute whatever we can," she wrote on Instagram with a screenshot of her donation confirmation.

Still, no one can deny that the Ice Bucket Challenge is having a major effect. Since it went viral, $53 million has been donated to ALS, which will be used for research for Lou Gehrig's disease.
