Why Did Fans Mock Kourtney Kardashian for Her Joan Rivers Tribute?

The Kardashian family had a hot and cold relationship with legendary comic Joan Rivers. At one point in time, pretty much every family member had appeared on her hit show Fashion Police, but after Joan joked about Kim Kardashian's daughter and made a parody of her sex tape, things got a little rough.

When Joan passed away on Thursday, every single family member (except Kim) put the drama aside and they each posted their own tribute to the late comedienne.

In Kourtney Kardashian's case, she posted this fun photo of Joan with the caption, "I just can't believe this queen is gone...praying for Melissa and Conner."

Obviously, the Kardashians weren't super close with their fellow E! star's fam, because the "Conner" Kourt was referring to is Joan's grandson, whose name is actually Cooper.

Fans immediately called Kourtney out and a few were not exactly nice about it, with one even calling her an "idiot." Kourt later deleted the Instagram post and replaced it with another tribute with Cooper's name corrected.

We think it was sweet of Kourtney to even post the tribute, especially given their shaky history with the comedienne. And, in her defense, Cooper is not really in the public eye, so you can't really blame her for the mix-up.

Plus, if she truly was keeping Melissa and Cooper in her thoughts and prayers, it's about the thought and sending love to the people (Joan's loved ones) and we very much doubt whoever she was praying to was worried about the exact spelling of Cooper's name.
