All that glitters isn't gold. If you're like us, you were all over the beauty trends popping up on the runways at New York Fashion Week. Metallic makeup was everywhere for Fall 2014 - at Rodarte, Badgley Mischka, Donna Karan, Altuzarra. And it wasn't just in gold.
In fact, fall's most promising and forgiving metallic seems to be bronze. And here's some good news: Anyone can wear it. It's even easier to find your bronze soulmate if you have a palette of 'em at your fingertips; just ask any fan of Urban Decay's now-iconic original Naked eye shadow palette.
But supposing you don't have $54 lying around, there's more good news: A universally flattering single shadow does exist.
"Some bronze shadows are more shimmery than others, and those look great on everyone," New York makeup artist Anjeh Bourne says. "A beautiful eye shadow I love is MAC's Bronze. Women with darker tones can add a layer of gold over the bronze to compliment their deep skin tone even more."
