GoldieBlox has just released an action figure for girls and you won't see her sporting high heels or a pink skirt anytime soon.

Finally, one brave girl shatters the screen and the stereotype right along with it, as we're introduced to GoldieBlox, a female action figure who comes complete with a tool belt, a hammer and a 13-inch zip line.
Why? Because Goldie is an engineer, that's why! ...And why shouldn't she be?!
"In a world where men largely outnumber women in science, technology, engineering and math, girls lose interest in these subjects as early as age 8," their website explains. "Construction toys develop an early interest in these subjects, but for over a hundred years, they've been considered 'boys' toys. GoldieBlox is determined to change the equation. We aim to disrupt the pink aisle and inspire the future generation of female engineers."
