Right before midnight on Nov. 6, the single hit iTunes. As of Friday morning, the song had already hit #7 on the charts.
"It's like that feeling when you're about to win the medal, and you worked so hard that you knew you wouldn't settle," Shawn croons on the song. "When they hear you and you thought they wouldn't listen, it's like an anthem that the whole world's singin'."
This is just the latest big news for the 16-year-old Canadian, whose debut single "Life of the Party" went gold this week after it shot to #1 just one hour after it was released in June.
Shawn also announced Nov. 3 that he'll be joining Taylor Swift on her upcoming "1989 World Tour" next year.
This all came about after Shawn put his singing clips on social media and received a ton of recognition from fans, which helped him land a record deal. "I posted a six-second clip of me singing 'As Long As You Love Me' by Justin Bieber in August and it was an overnight sort of explosion. When I woke up and I had 10,000 likes on that video, I was like, 'What is going on?' Social media is taking off," he told Mashable earlier this year. "It's an entire new world out there."
Talk about an amazing 2014. Check out Shawn's new single and tell us what you think!
