The 17-year-old actress stepped out at the premiere of The Homesman at the AFI festival in Los Angeles Tuesday night, looking stunning in a purple Monique Lhuillier dress, as she debuted her shorter 'do.
After sporting long, wavy locks for quite some time, this is a big (and cute) change for Hailee, who snipped her mane to a length right below her shoulders. "This beauty #chopchop," celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak, who crafted the look, captioned an Instagram collage of Hailee at the premiere.
In the upcoming western directed by Tommy Lee Jones, Hailee stars alongside Hilary Swank, Meryl Streep, James Spader and more, as poor, barefooted teen Tabitha Hutchinson.
The Homesman tells the tale of claim jumper George Briggs (Tommy Lee Jones) who helps escort three insane women across a prairie back to civilization after they rescue him and strike a deal. The film hits theaters Nov. 14.
