We can't even imagine what Luke Bryan and his family are going through right now. The country singer has been hit with another close-to-home tragedy after his brother-in-law suddenly passed away over the weekend.

Luke was just named CMA Entertainer of the Year but was forced to cancel his appearance to perform on last night's live CMT Artists of the Year show at the last minute.

According to reports, Luke is currently back home in Georgia with his family after his brother-in-law Ben Lee Cheshire passed away on Saturday at age 46. His funeral was today, and Luke himself co-officiated the ceremony.

We're sure this one hit Luke hard. Ben was the widower of Luke's only sister Kelly, who died in 2007. She was only 39 years old.

What makes this even more sad is that Luke's only brother, Chris died suddenly 10 years ago. He was only 26 years old.

In Luke's honor, Lady Antebellum performed a beautiful cover of his song, written for his siblings, "Drink a Beer" at the CMT Artists of the Year concert on December 2. He tweeted his appreciation.

Our thoughts are with Luke and his family at this time.
