In Disney Pixar's upcoming animated film Inside Out, we get an inside look at what a family is really thinking, thanks to the crews of talking emoticons in their minds.
Growing up can be tough at times, particularly for Riley, who has to leave her life in the Midwest when her father (Kyle MacLachlan) starts a new job in San Francisco, according to Disney Pixar. This stirs up quite a few emotions for her – which we meet – when they rise into action.
Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) all live inside Riley's mind in a control center, which helps guide her through every day life and adjust to a new neighborhood, city and school.
In the first trailer for the film, we see Riley sitting at a table with her parents at dinner and it's clear she is totally over their whole moving situation. Take a look at what happens when her emotions flare – and her mom and dad's do as well – in the clip above.
Inside Out hits theaters July 24, 2015.
