Sorry Adam Levine, Blake Shelton just earned some major bragging rights.
Considering three of the four finalists on the show were from Team Adam, it seemed like the Maroon 5 frontman had the Voice title locked down this year. But, it was the country crooner's sole surviving team member that walked away with the trophy.
"Thank YOU AMERICA!!! I am so blessed and thankful for everyone's support," singer Craig Wayne Boyd wrote on Facebook Wednesday after winning the seventh season of the competition. I look forward too seeing y'all out on the road next year. #bestfansever #soblessed #teamblake #CWByall."
Blake also couldn't stop gushing over the win, particularly about having the opportunity to tease Adam about it. "It's fu**ing awesome," he told TV Guide. "Will I rub it in Adam's face? He may quit the show before I'm done rubbing this in his face, but what's awesome is this guy holding this trophy."
"I don't care if it's politically incorrect," he continued. "I don't give a crap at this point because we went into this thing with the odds stacked against us and I'm not talking about to beat Adam. It's just awesome to know that so many people connected with this guy with the odds against him."
The night before the finale, Craig sang "My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face" with Blake, a song the Voice judge wrote but hadn't yet recorded.
