After getting candid about their break-up on Twitter, the "Only" rapper opened up to Rolling Stone about how their split affected her, saying, "I had to learn to do something as simple as sleep alone."
Aside from her painful break-up, Nicki opened up about her life in general on her latest album The Pinkprint. "One of my goals was to give people a glimpse into my personal life, because it's something I've kept very private," she continued. "I struggled with 'Do I express these feelings?' And I decided there's no reason for me to hide. I'm a vulnerable woman, and I'm proud of that."
The hip hop star also got candid about having an abortion while she was in high school. When she found out she was pregnant, Nicki said, "I thought I was going to die. I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through."
Although Nicki felt like it was the right thing for her at the time, she said it "haunted me all my life. It'd be contradictory if I said I wasn't pro-choice. I wasn't ready. I didn't have anything to offer a child."
She rapped about the experience in her new song "Autobiography, " but said she "didn't expect anyone to hear" or know what she was referring to. "Millions of people are gonna hear it," Nicki added. "And you gotta watch everything you say - people find an issue with every f**king thing."
