The Birdman star, who is celebrating her first Academy Award nomination for her supporting role in the comedy flick, couldn't help but joke when she chatted with press Monday and was told she was beautiful.
"Thank you. That's all that matters," Emma said with a laugh, according to Pop Sugar. The 26-year-old actress stunned at the event, mixing prints in a black and white striped sequined top and a black and white polka dot skirt.
As for whether Emma is gearing up for days of pampering prior to the Oscars, she joked with a smile that she's getting "the works...a full spa day."
"I'm doing a play right now in New York, and it's so bizarre because I have two weeks left and I'm playing Sally Bowles and I'm going to come be in a fancy dress," she continued. "It's like her dream to be doing this," she said with a laugh. "I'm like a sad, gin-swilling character every night. I can't think of facials quite yet."
Speaking of Cabaret, Emma said "it feels obviously very different," to perform in the play every night, as opposed to her experience filming Birdman. "The thing that's so exciting about Cabaret is that every night I get to do it the next day," she added. "You don't have that permanence that you did in something like Birdman where eventually - no matter how many takes you did - something was going to be forever, so the pressure was so immense."
