Before the Grammys kick off Sunday, presenters and performers from the show get to indulge in a room full of free gifts. At the show's official gift lounge presented by MTG and Distinctive Assets, celebs are treated to a shopping spree of sorts and a $25,000 gift bag.
"This is the official thank you from the academy for being a part of the show," Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary told us, adding there's always a surprise when it comes to who stops by. "Rihanna, I'm excited to see. Last time she came in she was with a lot of her girlfriends and they came through to have a girlfriend experience together and we gifted all of them."
Nicki Minaj has also racked up at the lounge...without even having to come in. Lash added that the "Only" rapper "pulled right up in her pink Bentley" a couple of years ago and they brought her gifts right out to her.
So what's in the pricey gift bag that lures those major stars? Here's a breakdown:
For starters, electronic scalp massagers from MTG, New Era fitted caps, a Rocky Mountaineer luxury rail journey through the Canadian Rockies worth nearly $15,000, and a free guitar from Gibson brands, plus accessories.
Meanwhile, Sean Jean is gifting stars with signature black velour track suits and other clothing, as well as limited-edition duffle bags and candles.
Guests are also treated to Marchon designer eyewear, Wellness 360 beauty products, skateboards and bookbags from truth, bottles of pinot noir from Carr Winery, gift certificates for a custom candy buffet and dessert bar from Candy Vixen, certificates for aromatherapy massages from Live Natural Live Well and the world's first seven-blade razor shaving system from Dorco.
There are also gifts with a cause mixed in, including jewelry collection SIS By Simone I. Smith. After battling a rare form of bone cancer, L.L. Cool J's wife developed a line of inspirational jewelry, with a portion of the sales donated to charities that help fight cancer. Guests will also be given necklaces from her line that retail for $300 each.
