British rock band Kasabian has made it clear they're not fans of One Direction and their success, particularly the group's frontman Tom Meigham, who slammed the group after the NME Awards Wednesday night.
"They're f*cking millionaires but they're five no-ones who won the lottery," he told Yahoo! UK. "They're massive, but they're a product, we're not. They're like shampoo. You buy it to put in your hair and wash it out, like the Spice Girls."
Something tells us Directioners will have a lot to say about Tom after that comment...but he wasn't done just yet. The rocker added, "Thing is, they'll all get angry with each other, fall out and do too many drugs. They'll wanna be f*cking arty and do something clever and they'll break up."
Tom's rant came after his band won Best British Band, Album and Quote at the NME Awards, which is rock and alternative music's "annual attempt to mock mainstream singers," according to the site. The lighthearted ceremony includes awards for "Villian of the Year" and "Worst Record," with trophies that are shaped like middle fingers.
While we haven't heard One Direction's reaction to Kasabian yet, Tom's bandmate, Serfio Pizzorno, said he's not all that miffed they haven't been nominated for any BRIT awards like One Direction has been for the past few years (including 2015).
Serfio reportedly told The Sun, "I'm gonna be at the beach somewhere, smoking great weed and drinking incredible rum cocktails. That's much more than a consolation prize. It's a winner."
