Aquaman just got a major makeover.

Formerly known as one of the softer superheroes in the comic book world, it's clear Aquaman will be a lot tougher in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Director Zack Snyder gave fans a preview of what's to come in the action film Friday, showing off the first snap of Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
In the snap, a buff Jason rocks tattoos and body armor while palming a souped up trident. He stares at the camera with an intimidating sneer as if he's ready to go to war, and rocks a full beard and dreads. The words "Unite the Seven" are placed over the shot.

"There is only one true King. #unitetheseven," Zack captioned the shot, which shows a much different take from the original Aquaman, who wears tights and has blonde hair. So far, Jason hasn't been listed as official cast member of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it looks like he'll at least make a cameo in it, according to E! Online.

Following that, he'll appear in Justice League Part One in November 2017, the Aquaman standalone film in July 2018 and Justice League Part Two in June 2019.

Batman v Superman is set to hit theaters March 25, 2016.
