It looks like Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are still really cordial, in spite of their break-up years ago.

The former couple reportedly reunited at the Academy Awards Sunday, with the Gone Girl star and J.Lo chatting during one of the commercial breaks. According to the Associated Press, after "Citizenfour" was dubbed best documentary, Ben walked over to the Boy Next Door star and whispered something in her ear.

Whatever he said made J.Lo "playfully smack" him across his arm. The duo, who started dating after they met on the set of their flop Gigli, later got engaged, with Ben popping the question with a huge 6.1-carat pink diamond engagement ring in 2002.

Nevertheless, the duo still ended up being friends later, after J.Lo moved on with her now ex-husband Marc Anthony and Ben married Jennifer Garner in June 2005.

Back in 2012, Ben told the Hollywood Reporter, "We don't have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice, but we do have the kind of relationship where there'll be an email saying, 'Oh, your movie looks great.'"

"I remember when she got American Idol," he continued. "I said: 'This was really smart. Good luck.' I touch base. I respect her. I like her. She's put up with some stuff that was unfair in her life, and I'm really pleased to see her successful."

J.Lo has also made it clear she supports Ben too, most recently posting a shot of herself watching Ben's movie Gone Girl last year.
