If you weren't an Iggy Twitter follower, here's what happened...in a nutshell. She basically got tired of the haters and the negativity and was pushed over the edge when she returned home from an awesome vacation only to see haters body-shaming her after bikini photos (that the paparazzi took) surfaced.
In her explanation to fans on the popular social media site, Iggy explained that it had become too negative and she didn't like the way it was making her feel anymore. So, does she feel better now that she's logged off?
Absolutely. When they asked if she's "Of course I am...of course," she says with a smile. "Anyone is happier when they're not being verbally abused. It's pretty safe to say, it's quite better."
"It makes me hate people, and I don't want to hate people," she explains regarding the haters. "My job is entertaining people, I love people...and it's really hard to do that when you feel like 'what the hell is going on with humanity when we're all doing this?'"
She also says that boyfriend Nick Young wanted her to be more aggressive about fighting back, telling her "you just need to tell them all to suck your d**k!"
And she's used to hearing 'well don't read the comments,' but it's not that simple, especially when you're an artist looking for feedback from fans. Even when she just looks at fan pages, she sees fans defending her about something and then she wants to know what they're talking about and it's just impossible to get away from.
We give her tons of credit for doing what's best for herself even though we're totally going to miss her on Twitter.
