After the Voices star and his wife Blake Lively were spotted out for the first time toting their 2-month-old at New York's JFK airport, Ryan headed to the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Monday to dish on their daughter's non-sleeping tendencies and much more.
"Our baby in particular is we think allergic to sleep," he told Jimmy Fallon. "I don't think that's possible," the host replied with a laugh. "We joke that...we think she thinks she's protecting us from the sleep monsters," he continued. "Like, 'Oh, I've got to keep them up or the sleep monsters will get them.'"
As for what they've tried to help their daughter get into a sleep pattern, Ryan said, "The trick I try to use is that Baby Einstein stuff, but that's like for me, that's like horse tranquilizer. I could go down on a lit stove. You could push me out of an airplane. [You have] the weirdest dreams in the world."
All jokes aside, Ryan said life with their little one is "so good," adding, "She's got me wrapped around her finger. I am a slave to the rhythm." Calling fatherhood "the best," he continued, "I can't wait. It's just going to be teatime every day with her...no, she's going to be a football player."
The couple welcomed their daughter nine weeks ago near their home in Bedford, N.Y. Although they have yet to confirm the name of their first child together, E! News reported their baby girl's name is James.
