If this isn't a case of the proverbial pot calling the kettle black, we don't know what is.
After months of professing his love for ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff, it looks like Aaron Carter just threw shade at her for mentioning him. Following a recent interview where the "All About You" singer referenced his Twitter proclamations to get her back, Aaron tweeted, "Some sh*t I just don't get. Stop. Talking. About. It. ....I did."
Although Aaron didn't specifically mention Hilary, his tweet came after she told Cosmopolitan, "[Aaron] reaching out through social media? It's ridiculous! But then people do it all the time, like Chris Brown and Karrueche? Come on, guys. Keep it between text messages."
In September, Aaron he admitted he needed to "shut up" about trying to win Hilary back, telling WENN, "If I'm too open about how I feel then people wanna nag and pick and poke at me. I don't know Hilary, either. She don't know me and I don't know her. I just need to shut up now about it. I think it's time."
"She's got a kid and she's married and I'm not trying to be that dude," he continued. "That's not my intention." He couldn't help but say one more sweet thing about Hilary though adding, "Hilary will always hold a very special place in my heart."
A few months later, though, he was at it again, posting a shot of himself watching "Merry Christmas, Lizzie McGuire," in which he played Hilary's love interest back in the day.
"Merry Christmas, Lizzie McGuire." #IWantCandy #AaronCarter #Flashback I never actually watched this before," he captioned the shot last December, which showed him watching a scene of the two of them in the movie. As if that wasn't enough, he kept talking about it later in the day, tweeting, "Apparently a lot of girls were super pissed when I kissed Lizzie McGuire."
Given his sudden change of heart, maybe he finally gets the hint?
