In Kim's case, her blonde-on-blonde highlights came with a $500 price tag (and that didn't include the touch-up in Paris). Kim's colorist, Lori Goddard, tells Us Weekly that the process took nearly four hours and it all went down at Kim's home on March 3, right before she headed out to Paris Fashion Week, where she went even blonder still.
Which brings us to our next point. While the $500 hair adventure would be an expensive undertaking for most of us, it's a little different for Kim, who joked with the colorist after her Paris touch-up, telling them, "'Don't make me fly out to Paris every time I need to color my hair.'"
She probably won't have to, though, because Kim tells Us Weekly that this is just a fun hair phase for her. "Dark is my natural color," she tells them. "Being brunette is who I am."
She does totally pull off the blonde, but we're so used to seeing her as a brunette, it did take a minute to get used to. Sounds like we shouldn't get too attached to this style, though...
