The Glee series finale is almost here (sniffle) and, from the sounds of spoilers, it's going to be a very emotional ending. We're not going to spoil everything, but fans of the show have been wanting to know how they would pay tribute to the late Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson.

Turns out, he will appear on screen – in a flashback to 2009, which will give more of a back story to some of the loved characters before they joined the glee club gang. E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos was among those lucky enough to see the finale's first hour, titled "2009" at PaleyFest and explained, "There's a sweet and poignant scene with the New Directions kids talking about Finn...and then a great final scene that effectively uses some old pilot footage..."

People.com reports that Lea Michele said the finale will wrap things up in a satisfying way, explaining: "I really think that [creators] Ryan [Murphy], Brad [Falchuk] and Ian [Brennan] and the rest of our writers had a difficult task in wrapping up everyone's story lines and also making sure everyone was happy and making sure to honor Cory and do all of that in one episode. And they really did a great job to make sure that the fans were happy and that they were respectful of everyone in the story line."

The Glee two-hour series finale airs this Friday, March 20, and will also include a five year jump into the future to see where everyone ends up.
