"Now I understand so much, my mother's never gotten more 'I love you so much mommy' texts, I mean, randomly...ya, I get it now," the 41-year-old actress told Extra, opening up about her daughter Esmeralda. Eva added that the 6-month-old sleeps through the night now, but every now and then she changes it up to keep her parents on their toes.
"But you never know, right, something random can happen and she's just suddenly not sleeping through the night and you're like, wait, I thought we were sleeping through the night, what's up?!" She laughed, saying, "Why does it always happen at three or four in the morning?!"
In the midst of gushing about Esmeralda, the Lost River star also revealed how she keeps her hot boyfriend (and baby's father) Ryan Gosling happy at home. "You can't do sweatpants...ladies, number one cause of divorce in America, sweatpants, no!," she said.
Staying in shape probably doesn't hurt either. As for how she got her body back after baby, Eva told Women's Health (via E! Online), "I realized a long time ago that I needed to have some kind of routine. I don't love it, but I've made peace with that."
In addition to running and doing interval sprints, Eva also lifts weights, but said, "nothing too heavy, because my muscle bulks up pretty easily. I mix it up with yoga, or sometimes I'll hike with my trainer." As for her diet, the thesp said, "I haven't eaten meat in about six years, because I don't agree with factory farming here."
"This is just what worked for me, it's important to say, but when I cut that out I immediately felt better," she continued. "And also, after a year of eliminating it, my skin looked brighter and healthier overall."
