About a month after he was caught on camera with a sole tear streaming down his face as he applauded the duo, the Star Trek star is finally opening up about getting emotional at the Academy Awards and what happened next.
"Yeah, I got a lot of...it was a wonderful performance, and it was really moving," Chris told James Croden on the Late Late Show Tuesday night with a smile. "A lot of people gave me a lot of crap for it."
"I would say as an actor the only time in my life that I think I'll ever be able to produce a single tear down my cheek [was] at the Academy Awards," he said with a laugh.
"What's annoying is...when I cry I look disgusting," James said in response, holding up a pic of Chris' tear at the show. "Look at this! Have you ever seen anyone look so handsome whilst they're crying?" The thesp couldn't help but laugh at that comment, saying, "thank you."
