J.K. Rowling, no big surprise here, is awesome. While she revealed years ago that Harry Potter's Hogwarts headmaster, Professor Dumbledore, was gay, one fan recently asked a question about it because the character didn't seem to be gay in the books.

J.K's response was pure perfection.

A fan commented on Twitter, saying: "I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a gay because I can't see him in that way." J.K.'s answer? "Maybe because gay people just look like...people?"

Amazing. The Potter fan responded, "Yes you are absolutely right. Such an inspiration" - but has since deleted her tweet. The screen shot has been making the rounds though because J.K's response is so flawless.

Last year, a fan tweeted to J.K. about Hogwarts having LGBT students, asking: "do you think there are a lot of LGBT students in modern age Hogwarts? I like to imagine they formed an LGBT club," adding, "it's safe to assume that Hogwarts had a variety of people and I like to think it's a safe place for LGBT students"

J.K.'s response was "But of course," with an image that read: "If Harry Potter taught us anything, It's that no one should live in a closet."
