Everyone's allowed to have an opinion on the matter, but Wendy Williams' viewpoint has ruffled some fans' feathers, understandably. During a "Hot Topics" discussion on her Wendy Williams Show earlier this week, the host explained, "He's done it before. This is not his first time."
She added, "Here's what I think, One Direction, One Direction fans and everybody who cares. I feel as though if you can do five-part harmony, it's just as easy to do four-part harmony. I say kick this guy out of the group because now, that's more money for the rest of us. We don't have to split our money five ways."
Don't get her wrong, she supports Zayn's decision to take a break when he needed it, saying, "I admire him for standing in his own truth, which is that being a celebrity - particularly as a young person - it's a lot and all he wants to do is go back and live a normal life."
Wendy explained, "I appreciate people that stand in their own truths so if this is what this guy wants, kick him out of the band." She added, "We don't need to audition anybody new. Four members of the group are fine. Oh God, young people exhaust me."
The fandom doesn't think Wendy exactly understands how One Direction is 5/5 and yeah, they can pick up Zayn's parts for the short-term, but the band is all of them.
