"I've eaten ants and that was great," the Insurgent star told Nylon magazine, when asked about the strangest thing she's ever chowed down on. "And June bugs, that was great. I think the future of food is in insects, so we'll see what happens."
She added, "I had pig's feet in Spain a few months ago and that was awesome. They're so gelatinous. It felt great for my stomach."
While it seems like Shailene is game to try (or has tried) just about everything at this point, there is still at least one thing she'd love to do. "I've always wanted to try the trapeze. I haven't done that yet. Seems fun."
As for the one thing she wouldn't do, "I would never plant a genetically engineered seed," she said with a smile.
In addition to her affinity for bugs, Shailene recently gushed over her love for bone broth, telling MTV News, "Bone broth. I am telling you, it is the s**t. It is everything." She went on to share her recipe for it following her appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman.
"I have a little bit in the morning," she told David Letterman. "It's known to be helpful with leaky gut or irritable bowel syndrome."
