He stopped by Royal Children's Hospital, and visited patients for 40 minutes. He took phones from nurses to snap group selfies and had bedside chats with patients. They talked school subjects, holidays and their favorite bands. He wasn't shy, either, running right up to his ill fans.
Ed also signed a guitar that will be auctioned off. "It's always important to give to causes like this because you never know when it's going to happen to you," he said.
"It might happen to you down the line, or a few generations down the line. The more good you put into the world, the more you get back, and this is definitely one of those things. There is nothing negative about this place at all."
