On the heels of Zayn Malik's decision to leave One Direction behind, comes a new rumor that the band almost lost Louis Tomlinson too. Luckily, he was all in for the brotherhood of the band and decided to pass on a movie role so that he could continue with 1D. That's loyalty right there.

And you thought all the acting rumors were only about Harry Styles.

According to The Mirror, Louis was offered a role in a football film about Reading Football Club in the 60s – he would have played a "party-loving goalie." Okay, yep. We totally would have paid money to see Louis tackle the part.

Louis even reportedly met with scriptwriters earlier this year but had to pass on the role because of his commitment to 1D and their tour. A source told The Mirror: "There were several meetings and it was something that Louis really, really wanted to do. He loves football, so the chance to play a footballer was a huge temptation in itself, but he also loved the script and very much saw it as the beginning of an acting career, which is something that he is considering when 1D do finally go their separate ways."

The insider added, "But it was just a case of bad timing as the filming was scheduled for exactly the same time as One Direction's American tour dates so he declined the offer and chose to stay with the band. He had absolutely no intention of leaving, and he still doesn't."

Well, phew. Honestly, we can't take any more band shakeups.
