Was the solo Zayn Malik song that Naughty Boy leaked online (then pulled down less than 12 hours later) just a rejected One Direction song? Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter to deny this latest rumor, calling it an April Fool's joke. Louis is definitely staying on top of things.

Earlier this week, Naughty Boy posted the audio for Zayn's "I Won't Mind" demo on SoundCloud after getting into a Twitter feud with Louis. "I Won't Mind" was later revealed to be a song that didn't make the cut of One Direction's last album, Four.

A rep for the music producer told MailOnline: "Naughty Boy and Zayn wrote and demoed it as a contender for 1D's album last year. They aren't furiously working on his solo material or anything, there aren't plans for anything and this wasn't recorded in the last few days. They are very good friends and Zayn is taking time out including visiting Naughty Boy at his studio and hanging out."

The rep also commented on rumors that Zayn's first solo album will come out in 2016, saying, "He's having fun. Nothing is planned as yet."

A source close to Zayn also commented on the song being a 1D album reject, explaining, "It's important fans know this isn't a solo Zayn song or even representative of material he might record in the future. If you listen to the track it is clearly a song written with One Direction in mind for their last album. It's not new, nor is it a Zayn Malik solo track."

Louis' recent tweet, however, seems to shoot down the idea that the song has anything to do with 1D:
