Kylie Jenner Responds to Blackface Accusations: "Let's All Calm Down"

Kylie Jenner unintentionally stirred some serious controversy on Instagram Saturday night when she shared these pics of herself at a photoshoot wearing dark, shimmery makeup.


"What I wish I looked like all the time," the 17-year-old reality star captioned the above photo, and thanking her hair and makeup team, not realizing that many would perceive the makeup as blackface.


After Kylie caught on to the controversy the photos caused, she changed the photo caption to, "This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down," before sharing this pic that was taken from a little bit further away...

She also took to Twitter to defend herself, the photos and the now-deleted 'What I wish I looked like all the time' caption, writing:

While it was obviously unintentional, it's clear that a lot of people were offended by the makeup. What do you guys think?
