Kylie Jenner unintentionally stirred some serious controversy on Instagram Saturday night when she shared these pics of herself at a photoshoot wearing dark, shimmery makeup.
"What I wish I looked like all the time," the 17-year-old reality star captioned the above photo, and thanking her hair and makeup team, not realizing that many would perceive the makeup as blackface.
After Kylie caught on to the controversy the photos caused, she changed the photo caption to, "This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down," before sharing this pic that was taken from a little bit further away...
She also took to Twitter to defend herself, the photos and the now-deleted 'What I wish I looked like all the time' caption, writing:
so just got the time to head on social media lol.. The photographer used a black light & neon lights for those photos.- Kylie Jenner (@KylieJenner) April 5, 2015
Yes, In another world I wish I could have pink hair & blue eyes & covered in sparkles.- Kylie Jenner (@KylieJenner) April 5, 2015
But in this world I'm happy w the way God created me. Happy Easter everybody- Kylie Jenner (@KylieJenner) April 5, 2015
While it was obviously unintentional, it's clear that a lot of people were offended by the makeup. What do you guys think?
