Following news of Robert Pattinson's engagement to FKA twigs last week, Kristen Stewart surfaced in a new Chanel eyewear campaign, killing it in every shot. In the black and white snaps for the spring/summer campaign, the Twilight alum serves up understated glam as she smolders for the camera in the chic eyewear, channeling a photojournalist.
"Kristen Stewart gives a subtly rock yet always elegant touch to the new Chanel frames. Vintage camera in hand, she gazes at a scene known only to her," a press release stated about the campaign, according to People.
The 24-year-old actress, who has been the face of Chanel since late 2013, is also continuing to make a name for herself in the acting world outside of her Twilight fame. She recently became the first American actress to ever win a Cesar award (France's equivalent of the Oscar) for her role as an actor's assistant in Clouds of Sils Maria.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Kristen told the mag the win was completely unexpected. "Oh, man, it blew my head off, to be honest," she said. "I couldn't believe that I got nominated, and then obviously I really, really couldn't believe that they gave it to me, because those people rigidly dole out praise, especially to Americans. It felt really good." She added with a fake snooty tone, "I would prefer a French Oscar [to an American Oscar]."
The film reportedly gave her some of the best reviews of her career, particularly when it hit the Cannes Film Festival last May where she received praise for her performance as well.
