The Woman in Gold star was hit by a car while he was standing in a hotel parking lot in Vancouver Friday, according to CTV News, and walked away unharmed.
"While walking, Ryan was struck by a paparazzi driving a car through an underground parking garage," his publicist, Leslie Sloane, said in a statement to the Vancouver outlet. "The man fled the scene. Ryan is okay."
Earlier today, Vancouver police Const. Brian Montague said they "had an idea" of who was driving the car, but hadn't revealed the person's identity. Hours later, they arrested the photographer, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Police will identify the man once he is formally charged by a judge.
"After considering a variety of options and criminal charges, police arrested a 52-year-old Richmond resident and have recommended charges of intimidation. He is currently in custody," police said in a statement.
The new dad is in Vancouver filming Deadpool, and already appeared to be back on set, according to CTV News. While he hasn't talked about the crazy incident to the media just yet, he did tweet a joke about it Sunday, saying he would dish on it on one condition.
