The bus was transporting band member Hillary Scott, her husband and her tour manager when it blew a tire, according to her post on social media. All four peeps on the bus were able to escape the fire without injury.
Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!! ~hillary
"Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly," she posted on Twitter shortly after the incident. "Everyone is safe and sound."
"It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver," she added. "Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe."
She also posted a picture of the only item from the back of the bus that didn't burn. Can you guess what it was? Her Bible. Weird, right?
I just got this picture from the scene of the fire and HAD to share this. Today, when our bus caught on fire we had quite a few personal belongings in the back (where I was asleep before evacuating the bus) one of them being my Bible. I kid you not, EVERYTHING in the back lounge was destroyed from the flames, except my Bible. The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing. Yall, God's Word will always stand. He is FOR YOU, WILL PROTECT YOU, AND HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER FADE. My faith is forever deepened because of today. I hope this story deepens yours.
We're just glad her little baby girl wasn't on board, and that everyone is safe. We're pretty sure she'll still make it to the big award show Sunday night in Texas.
Lady Antebellum is up for vocal group of the year. They will also perform at the show on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
