Excitement over a meet and greet with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik barely got off the ground when he shot down the fake event. As we know, it takes a lot for Zayn to pop up on Twitter, so he was definitely concerned about any fans who could potentially fall for the scam.

Zayn tweeted a link to the site that offered tickets to the meet and greet, which included a pricey 'Tea with Zayn' option at the Dorchester Hotel in London.

He then tweeted: "That's fake and I have nothing to do with it so don't waste your money guys ... Love you all and to the people doing this ... Get a life"

Well said. And thanks for looking out for the fans!
