Last night, during his interview with Diane Sawyer, Bruce Jenner revealed that he is transitioning into a woman. In the two-hour special, the former Olympian explained that his gender identity is something he's struggled with all of his life and that at one point in particular, it almost became too much.

After paparazzi got word of his doctor's appointment for a tracheal shave and followed him there, snapping photos as he was leaving the office, Bruce explains, "That night I thought, 'Oh, it's, like, over.' And I was in this, walking up and down this hall right here, back and forth, back and forth all night long. Heart pounding."

"I thought, 'Wouldn't the easiest thing to do right now is go in the other room, get a gun. Boom. You know? Pain is over. Done. Go to a better place,'" he continues. But then he had a powerful revelation, "I thought, nah, I cant do something like that. I mean, I wanna know how this story ends."

And now we're finally getting to see more of Bruce's amazing story. In the interview, he explained that he will be transitioning to life as a woman and it was also revealed that he will be participating in an eight-part docuseries with E!, where cameras will join him as he tries to find his "new normal."

We are so incredibly proud of Bruce and can't wait to hear the rest of his story.

Editor's Note: Per Jenner's stated preference, Cambio will continue to refer to Bruce using male pronouns until he indicates otherwise.
