After showing up at the 3rd annual Light Up the Blues Concert in Hollywood Saturday with a big cut under his eye, the Fury star told People, "This is what happens when you try to run up steps in the dark, with your arms full, wearing flip flops. Turns out if you then try to stop your forward momentum with your face, the result is road rash."
"Regardless, I wasn't going to miss the Autism Speaks benefit the night after – wonderful people and I was honored to be a part of this important event," he continued. Brad not only braved the crowd – bruised face and all – he also raised $23,000 for the charity Autism Speaks, when he bid that much for a Fender guitar signed by all of the autistic performers at the event, and won.
According to the New York Daily News, this is just the latest time Brad's clumsiness left him with an injury. The thesp previously was spotted walking with a cane in 2012 after slipping while carrying his daughter Vivienne and hurting his ACL.
