Who comes up with this stuff?

While there aren't real selfie shoes (just yet), there is a new thing called a "Selfie Arm," which makes it look like a friend is holding your hand and taking a picture of you with the other (yup, seriously).

The Selfie Arm, which was created by artists Aric Snee and Justin Crowe, is a combination of a selfie stick and a fiberglass dummy arm that is positioned at the bottom of the frame. According to DesignBoom,"the collaborative project is a direct commentary on the growing selfie stick phenomenon, and the constant, gnawing need for narcissistic internet validation."
DesignBoom also stated that although the selfie arm is lightweight and portable, it more than likely is just a prototype. At least, for now. If the selfie arm does ever go into production, though, we want to know...would you buy it? Tell us in the comments!
