Kendall and Kylie Jenner Are Trying to Trademark Their Names

There is only one 'Kendall Jenner' and only one 'Kylie Jenner' and the girls want to make sure it stays that way. According to TMZ, Kylie filed paperwork last month to trademark her first name to "entertainment in the nature of providing information by means of a global computer network in the fields of entertainment, fashion and pop culture."

She's also reportedly trying to secure the name to prevent it from being used for personal appearances "by a celebrity, actress and model." So, what would that mean for Kylie Minogue? She can't call herself Kylie anymore?!

What if you have a daughter and name her Kylie and she goes on to become a celebrity, actress or model? Does she have to change her name?!

Apparently, Kendall Jenner has also filed an application to do the same with her first name. Given that she is only using her first name on her modeling card, that kind of makes sense if she's trying to do an Adele or Madonna-type thing and just be known as "Kendall."

The Daily Mail reports that they've also filed to copyright their names together, but have only filed for "Kendall and Kylie" not "Kylie and Kendall." Although if nobody can use Kylie OR Kendall, wouldn't that sort of prevent them from using both together?

So many questions. The main one being whether or not they were granted the licenses they applied for. No word yet on that, but we'll keep you posted.
