The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star turned heads on the red carpet, when she arrived with hubby Kanye West rocking a see-through Roberto Cavalli gown. The long-sleeved, crystal-embroidered number also had a plunging back.
Kim paired the look with a high, sleek ponytail and simple earrings. Last week, she tweeted about how excited she was to wear the gown, writing, "OMGGGGG I just finished a 2 hour MET Ball dress fitting! I think this is one of my favorite dresses ever!!!!!!! Can't wait."
She went on to reveal the designer of her dress Monday morning, tweeting, "Just finished my final Met dress fitting with none other than Peter Dundas for @Roberto_Cavalli This will be his 1st dress for Cavalli!" Meanwhile, Kanye opted for an black Balmain tuxedo and made sure to stand behind Kim most of the time they were on the red carpet to let her have her moment.
Twitter wasn't so ready to let her steal the show though. After Kim hit the carpet, the social networking site exploded with split shots of Kim wearing her dress from this year, and Beyonce slaying at the 2012 Met Gala in what looks like a very similar dress in a different color.
