Prince William and Kate Middleton paid tribute to their family members with the name they gave their daughter.

After introducing their adorable baby girl to the world Saturday, the royal couple revealed Monday in a statement from Kensington Palace that her name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, according to ABC News.

Prince William and Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana, died tragically in a car crash in Paris in 1997. According to People, the princess was named in honor of the Duke of Cambridge's late mother, who is "very close to the couple's hearts."
Britain Royal BabyLittle Charlotte's full name also honors William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, according to the mag, which also reported that Charlotte is Kate and her mother Carole's middle name as well.

Princess Charlotte was born in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London, where Prince William and Kate welcomed their son Prince George in July 2013. Her official royal title will be Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
